What do I need to connect?
This network operates at the 802.11b standard for greatest compatibility and performance. Most standard "b", "b/g", and "a/b/g" wireless adapters should work without problems. Please make sure your radio mode is set to "802.11b/g mixed mode" or "802.11b only".
The network supports most all operating systems including Windows 98/ME/2000/XP, Apple Macintosh, Linux, and newer versions of Palm and Windows CE handheld devices (PDAs) that support Java. Please note that Java must be enabled on your computer in order for the login process to function properly. Certain popup blocker programs might interfere with the login process. Please disable these program(s) if you are having problems logging in.
Is this service secure?

My email doesn't work.
Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) who provide email services require some level of authentication when a user tries to access their email from a remote or "unknown" network. Additional or modified settings for email may be required in order to send and/or receive email from your primary Service Provider. Please contact your Email/Service provider about how to set this up, or simply use WebMail if this service is offered. Email relay service is currently not available.
Some providers disallow direct access to email services (POP and/or SMTP) when accessing from outside their network. If this is the case, it is recommend WebMail is used if provided by your email provider. Email services are available for premium or commercial accounts.
My connection seems slow.
Slow connections can be caused by may things. Please make sure you have an acceptable wireless signal. Check to see if there are any background applications running that might be actively using your connection. Make sure you computer is virus free! For a free virus/trojan/spyware scan, browse to http://housecall.trendmicro.com. Every effort is made to provide fast speeds, and congestion is typically not the cause of slow connections.
Certain applications don't work.
Due to the topology of this network, it is possible that some applications that require directly accessable network ports may not function properly.
Certain applications such as an FTP client allow for "passive mode" which will allow it to work from behind a firewall. Port-forwarding requests to specific computers is currently unavailable.
